- Can I store my luggage with you before or after my visit?
Absolutely — we’ve got a luggage room where you can store your suitcases for free.
- Can I dine at the hotel?
In our fine breakfast restaurant you can count on an honest fresh breakfast every day according to the Dutch Cuisine guidelines. A great start of the day with fresh, healthy and local products.
You can settle down in our bar for a good cocktail, tasty bites or an aperitif in style. For dinner and lunch, we are surrounded by high-quality restaurants with diverse cuisines.
- Can I pay securely online?
You pay securely with credit card or IDEAL via our secure payment link when making your booking online.
- Why do I receive a payment request by email?
When you have made a reservation that requires advance payment, you will receive an email from us with a payment link. When the payment is made, your reservation is confirmed immediately! Click here for more information.
- What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in starts at 15:00. Should you arrive earlier than that, we will do our best to get your room ready as quickly as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that we will have a room ready before that time. If you do need to wait to check in, feel free to store your suitcases in our luggage room.
You can check out until noon. If you’d like to stay in your room longer, please let reception know.
- Is the hotel accessible for disabled people?
All floors in the hotel can be reached by lift. Our Superior room is suitable for a disabled person. Please enquire about rooms with an adapted bathroom if you are less able to walk.
- Can I smoke in my room?
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel. If you do smoke in your room, we will charge a fine of € 150. Covering or sabotaging the smoke alarm in the room will incur a € 500 fine and an immediate check out.
- Can I rent a bike at Jan Luyken Hotel Amsterdam?

- Can I change or cancel my reservation?
If you have booked directly through one of our websites, you can change or cancel your reservation here. To change or cancel your reservation you will be asked for the e-mail address with which the reservation was made and the reservation number. The reservation number can be found in the reservation confirmation that you received from us. For all other bookings you need to contact the travel agent.
- Is there free wifi available at the hotel?
Absolutely! And the good thing is: you do not need a code, just accept the conditions and you're online.

- Which measures is the hotel taking regarding COVID-19?
The health and well-being of our guests and colleagues is our main priority. Now and always. That's why we welcome guests in an appropriate manner and in accordance with all regulations of the Dutch government and RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment). To guarantee the safety in our hotels we have put together some “house rules”, making sure you will have a completely carefree and enjoyable stay. You can find them here.
- Can I book several rooms at once?
Of course you can. From 8 rooms or more belonging to one group, booked separately or through one group reservation, special group conditions always apply. Please contact the hotel's reservation department to agree on these, so that there are no surprises.
